Potluck dinner at Wellspring Living tonight

Changes are taking place at the Wellspring Duluth house where I have been volunteering for over a year. Having my dear friend Darlene volunteer with me recently has truly been a blessing. Many of the precious girls I have fallen in love with will be leaving to other adult women locations by February 8th. Tonight will be difficult as I see this season of my life changing. Now that God has opened my heart to hurting and broken women, I know the door is not closing but He will use me in a different way.

A special movie night with "my girls" at Wellspring Living

Tonight my friend Darlene and I will be taking two of the girls from Wellspring for a date and movie night!  I love having special one-on-one time with each person.  What a blessing to be a part of such an amazing organization.  After Our Southern Breeze was published I kept wondering where God would take me.  I know now that my ministry is with hurting and broken women.  We have an amazing God who is waiting to forgive, restore, and give second chances! 

My week at Wellspring Living

Yesterday was my day at WS to fill in during the staff meeting.  My dear friend Darlene went with me to "shadow".  Every time I spend time with 'my girls' I fall more deeply in love with them.  Friday is a trip to the dentist!

I'm delayed in updating.  Besides taking my girls to several doctor appointments, filling in during staff meeting on Wednesday, John and I hosted a Christmas party for the girls and two coaches on Saturday.  We had a wonderful time and gave each girl a gift card to Starbucks...their favorite place to visit!  Many Sunday's they attend services at Cross Pointe Church and we all sit together. My love continues to grow for each girls.  Since they all either knit are crochet, I guess this will be my new hobby!
